What makes an unstoppable disciple?
Is it determination? Strength? Talent? A strong personality?
This Sunday, Ps Mandy reminded us that biblical strength looks very different. We are not unstoppable because we are strong enough to overcome everything ourselves. We are unstoppable because Jesus has already won the victory.
Opposition comes. Circumstances change. People let us down, doors slam shut, and storms hit hard.
But none of that changes what Jesus did at Calvary.
Romans 8:37 — “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
The important words are through Him.
Our victory begins with Jesus.
We Stand From Victory

Revelation 12:11 tells us that believers overcome “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.”
Notice what comes first: His blood.
Our victory does not begin with what we have done for Jesus, but with what Jesus has already done for us.
At Calvary, Jesus declared:
John 19:30 — “It is finished!”
His blood settled our debt. Our sins are forgiven, the past is redeemed, and every accusation against us is silenced. That shifts everything when spiritual battles hit.
We aren’t fighting for victory — we’re standing in the victory Jesus already won.
That truth builds on what we recently learned about standing strong when life pushes back. Our confidence has never been in ourselves. It is in Christ.
The Blood Changes Our Identity
Many people receive salvation but continue living according to an old identity. We define ourselves by failures, rejection, mistakes, painful history or what somebody once said about us.

The blood speaks louder.
Our past has a lot to say. People talk, and the enemy loves to accuse.
But Jesus gets the final word.
- Forgiven.
- Redeemed.
- Cleansed.
- Restored.
- Chosen.
- His.
An unstoppable disciple must understand whose they are.
Ps Mandy reminded us that we have to become convinced of our identity in Christ. When we know who we belong to, we stop allowing yesterday to determine tomorrow.
The Blood Saves Us — Discipleship Changes Us
Salvation is free, but Jesus never called us simply to make a decision and remain unchanged.
He said:
Luke 9:23 — “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
Jesus did not only say, “Believe in Me.” He repeatedly said, “Follow Me.”
Discipleship costs us our pride, independence, excuses, old ways of thinking and our insistence on always having things our own way.
That is where character develops.
Ps Mandy spoke strongly about the value of allowing trusted spiritual leaders and mentors to guide us. Someone who has already walked part of the road can help us recognise dangers, grow through challenges and avoid repeating unnecessary mistakes.
- A believer can say, “Jesus saved me.”
- A disciple goes further and says, “Jesus leads me.”
Storms Reveal Our Foundation
Jesus described two people in Matthew 7:24–27 that heard the same message. Both went through the exact same storm. But only one stood firm. What made the difference? One person actually put the Word into practice.
That brings us to one of Sunday’s biggest takeaways:

Storms do not create foundations. Storms reveal foundations.
Discipleship moves us beyond hearing Scripture on Sunday. We study it. Meditate on it. Apply it. Then we build our lives on it.
When pressure comes, our faith has something solid beneath it.
An unstoppable disciple says, “Whether it is easy or difficult, I will follow Jesus.”
Unstoppable Disciples Multiply
Jesus told Peter and Andrew:

Matthew 4:19 — “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Ps Mandy showed us the powerful progression hidden in this simple invitation:
| Jesus Says | What It Means | What It Produces |
| Follow Me | Discipleship | We choose to follow Jesus daily. |
| I will make you | Transformation | Jesus develops our character and changes the way we live. |
| Fishers of men | Mission | Our transformed lives begin reaching other people for Jesus. |
Jesus does not simply call us out of something. He calls us into purpose. And that purpose includes people. Someone should be following Jesus differently because they encountered Him through our lives.
This is how multiplication happens. One disciple reaches another. That disciple reaches someone else. Eventually, families change, communities change and nations change.
As Ps Mandy put it:
“Unstoppable faith leads to an unstoppable disciple, and unstoppable discipleship results in unstoppable missions.”
The Church Jesus Builds Is Unstoppable
Matthew 16:18 — “I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
Jesus never intended for the Church to hide in fear.
He envisioned a Church on the move — praying, believing, making disciples, multiplying, and pushing the Gospel into the darkest places.
So what actually makes us unstoppable?
- The blood defines our identity.
- Discipleship builds our character.
- Faith guides our steps.
- The Great Commission gives us our mission.
We’ve been bought by His blood. Let’s allow Jesus to build us up through discipleship — and then let’s get moving.

Prayer
Father, thank You for the victory Jesus won for us at Calvary. Thank You that His blood has redeemed, cleansed and restored us.
Help us to stop living from old identities and teach us to see ourselves through Your truth. Give us humble hearts that are willing to follow, learn, obey and grow through discipleship.
Build Your Word deeply into our lives so that when storms come, we remain standing. Then give us courage to move beyond ourselves, reach others and make disciples.
Make us an unstoppable church filled with unstoppable disciples who carry the Gospel wherever You send us.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
